Sam, a freelance photographer dealing with the challenges of divorce, is doing her best to support her daughter Laurie through college. To ensure a steady income, she accepts any work that comes her way, regardless of the risks involved. Her most recent task, assigned by a private investigation agency, takes a troubling turn when she begins to suspect that the person she is observing might have fallen victim to a crime.
