With Prisoners

After getting into a bar fight with an off-duty police officer, wannabe gangster Fan (played by Neo Yau, known for Fire Lee’s eccentric film Robbery) is given a three-month sentence in a juvenile detention facility similar to Hong Kong’s Sha Tsui Detention Center, which employs a military-style approach to rehabilitation. The program is characterized by verbal insults and mistreatment, administered by the disinterested and cynical staff, although there are a few guards who genuinely believe in the system.
