In this 1989 comedy directed by Jay Levey, a daydreamer named George Newman, played by “Weird Al” Yankovic, unexpectedly finds himself in charge of a struggling UHF television station. With his eccentric and creative programming ideas, George turns the station into a local sensation, much to the chagrin of a rival network. The film features a mix of parody and slapstick humor, with notable performances by Michael Richards and Fran Drescher.
