In his twenties, Victor, a former diving champion, resides with his grandmother in a coastal Greek town. Following her unexpected passing, he sets off on a journey to Germany in an old, dusty car. During a ferry ride in Italy, he encounters Matthias, a charming and carefree German returning home, who persuades the reserved Victor to offer him a lift. This unlikely pair embarks on a road trip through Italy’s breathtaking mountain landscapes. As they navigate numerous twists and turns, both men are forced out of their comfort zones and must confront their growing attraction to one another.
