Charles Dexter Ward’s spouse seeks the assistance of a private investigator to uncover the activities her husband is engaged in at an isolated family-owned cabin that has been in their possession for generations. As a chemical engineer, Ward’s experiments emit peculiar odors, and the frequent arrival of what seems to be human remains at odd hours is starting to draw the curiosity of both neighbors and local police.
