Inspector Gadget

Inspector Gadget is an animated TV series that follows the escapades of a bumbling and not-so-bright cyborg detective named Inspector Gadget, who is equipped with an array of bionic devices. His main adversary is Dr. Claw, the head of a nefarious group called “M.A.D.” This series marked the first syndicated cartoon from DIC Entertainment, originally airing from 1983 to 1986 and continuing to be broadcast in reruns well into the late 1990s. It remains popular in reruns worldwide. The show was a collaborative effort involving production companies from France, Canada, the United States, Taiwan, and Japan. It was co-produced by DIC Entertainment in France and Nelvana in Canada, with animation tasks delegated to international studios like Tokyo Movie Shinsha in Japan and Cuckoo’s Nest Studio in Taiwan. Notably, it was the first animated TV series to be broadcast in stereo sound.
