C.O.P.S.

C.O.P.S. is an American animated series produced by DIC Entertainment and Celebrity Home Entertainment. Originally airing from 1988 to 1989, this cartoon featured the slogan: “Fighting crime in a future time, protecting Empire City from Big Boss and his gang of crooks.” In 1993, it was re-aired on CBS Saturday mornings under the title CyberCOPS, a change made to avoid confusion with an unrelated primetime reality show that premiered in 1989 with the same name. The series was inspired by Hasbro’s 1988 action figure collection, C.O.P.S ‘N’ Crooks.
