Bored to Death

Jonathan Ames, a young writer residing in Brooklyn, finds himself adrift. Recently, he endured a difficult breakup, partly due to his drinking habits, and is struggling to complete his second novel. He also spends excessive time socializing with his magazine editor. Instead of confronting his real-life issues, Jonathan escapes into his imagination, taking on a side gig as a private investigator. He yearns to be a hero and a man of action.
