Sand Dollars

Each afternoon, Noelí, a young woman from the Dominican Republic, spends her time on the beach at Las Terrenas. Together with her boyfriend, Yeremi, they seek opportunities to earn money from the numerous tourists visiting the area. Among these tourists is Anne, an older French woman who has become a regular client of Noelí’s. Anne, like many Europeans, has chosen the island as a picturesque retreat for her later years. While Noelí views their relationship as a practical arrangement, emotions deepen as they contemplate a future together in Paris.
