“Rootwood” centers on two college students who run a podcast called “The Spooky Hour,” which delves into supernatural events and urban myths. Their big break comes when a Hollywood producer enlists them to create a horror documentary about the legend of The Wooden Devil. Sensing an opportunity for fame, they, along with a friend, venture into Rootwood Forest to uncover the reality behind The Wooden Devil and its victims.
