River Guard

Crime novelist Sean Flynn returns to his hometown of Riverport, North Carolina, from New York after a lengthy absence when the authorities decide to reopen the old murder case that derailed his father’s political career. In his quest to uncover the truth behind a mysterious death and to advance his own writing career, Sean must face the shared issues that have long estranged him from his father, Chuck Flynn. Chuck, once a District Attorney and now a defense lawyer, is handling the case while spending his days drinking at a bar near the courthouse. As the trial progresses, it becomes clear that the case is far more complex than it initially appeared. The hidden truth and the same forces that have driven a wedge between them will ultimately challenge the bond between father and son.
