Orphans

Peter Mullan, known for his role in Ken Loach’s MY NAME IS JOE, demonstrates that his abilities extend beyond acting. As both writer and director, he has created an exceptionally engaging film. ORPHANS presents a raw, humorous, and profoundly touching story about siblings coming together in Glasgow on the night before their mother’s funeral. Each of the four siblings grieves her death in their own unique manner, ranging from the sincere to the eccentric. Meanwhile, the looming threat of a thunderstorm adds another layer of tension to the unfolding events.
