Izumi Kawashima, a high school student who spends her days evaluating newspaper articles, stumbles upon a wallet filled with a significant amount of cash. Rather than returning it immediately, she chooses to loan a large part of the money to a middle-aged man she knows. Eventually, Izumi gives the wallet back to its rightful owner, Koki, a rich high school boy. Noticing the missing funds, Koki requests that Izumi make it up to him by doing a favor for his friend: to produce a newspaper that spreads joy to its readers.
