In the summer of 1991, 11-year-old Lacy finds herself in rural Western Massachusetts, where she is captivated by her vivid imagination and the presence of her mother, Janet. Over time, three newcomers become part of their lives, each drawn to Janet’s enchanting personality. Meanwhile, Lacy’s richly detailed inner world starts to blur the lines with reality during her moments of solitude.
