Injustice breeds a criminal. Kool, an artist with no future prospects and a karate black belt, is deeply in love with LaShawna, who is on her way to college. One evening, LaShawna witnesses a stabbing and realizes the victim is a police officer as he dies in her arms. She is wrongfully imprisoned for murder by the notorious Ramparts Division of the LAPD. Determined to clear her name, Kool seeks to prove her innocence. Meanwhile, Tully, the jaded detective in charge, dismisses LaShawna’s case but manipulates Kool to dismantle an emerging crime ring. LaShawna’s life is at risk because the real culprits fear the officer may have revealed their identities before dying. While awaiting a hearing and legal assistance in jail, she is brutally killed by a corrupt cop. Driven by vengeance, Kool forms the Hot Boyz.
