Heart of the Sun

Set during the Depression era in Alberta, this drama follows a farmer’s wife who believes her childlessness is a divine punishment. As the story unfolds, it becomes clear that her infertility is actually the result of a secret affair with a local priest. This relationship led to a forced medical procedure orchestrated by the church and her family to conceal the scandal, ultimately leaving her unable to conceive.
