Hail Mary

In this contemporary adaptation of the Virgin birth story, Mary is portrayed as a student who balances playing basketball with working at her father’s gas station. Joseph, on the other hand, is a sincere college dropout who makes a living as a taxi driver. The angel Gabriel has the task of guiding Joseph to embrace Mary’s unexpected pregnancy. Meanwhile, Mary grapples with understanding God’s intentions through meditative reflections, which are often filled with frustration and frequently accompanied by vivid imagery of natural elements like the sun, moon, clouds, flowers, and water.
