Settie Rose, an unconventional family leader, enlists the help of Juan, a novelist facing challenges, to craft her entry for a holiday competition. A misunderstanding arises, causing rumors about Juan’s supposed engagement to Settie’s daughter, Lily. The family decides to join in on the fun and humorously goes along with the charade.
