Barry, a straight-laced individual, has relocated 3,000 miles from dull Ohio to pursue his studies in the vibrant environment of Southern California. Accompanying him on this journey is his friend Douglas, who is eager to transform Barry into a “Bar Star.” While Barry is focused on his academics, Douglas, a master of social maneuvering, envisions Barry becoming the ultimate “Bar Star”—a charismatic figure in the nightclub scene who, much like James Bond, is desired by every woman and envied by every man.
