Mommy

In the film “Mommy,” Patty McCormack portrays a mother with an unhealthy obsession with her 12-year-old daughter, Jessica Ann. Her fixation is so extreme that when Jessica fails to receive the “Student of the Year” award once more, she resorts to killing the teacher who didn’t endorse her daughter for the accolade. She trivializes the murder, calling it “a minor accident.” However, the detective investigating the case quickly becomes suspicious of her, and an insurance investigator, who also harbors doubts about her, attempts to befriend Jessica Ann to uncover the truth.
