Fifteen-year-old Jake sets off to Montana in search of his estranged mother but ends up encountering the seemingly ideal Tucker family, who seamlessly integrate him into their lives despite his troubled history. Unfortunately, Jake can’t resist his impulses: he continues to steal, gets entangled with the alluring neighbor, flirts with the family’s matriarch, supports the son in his romantic endeavors, and orchestrates a series of increasingly daring pranks with the local boys.
