Regrets of the Past

The short film “Regrets of the Past” was brought to life by a group of local filmmakers aiming to produce a top-notch sci-fi film in Austria, set within the Star Wars universe. The team paid meticulous attention to the film’s visual style, striving to closely emulate the original trilogy crafted by George Lucas in the 1970s. The narrative unfolds after the rise of the Galactic Empire (Star Wars – Episode III) and centers on two Jedi knights on the run. Chased by a bounty hunter, Pash Sularen and his apprentice Kaila Dain find themselves stranded on a distant planet, where they must confront their history. Filming occurred in Austria from 2013 to 2015, followed by a year of post-production. The 150-member crew was primarily composed of professionals from the Austrian film industry who contributed to the project in their free time.
