Johnny and Tanner are siblings who grew up in a household marked by violence and dysfunction, with a father who is a ruthless psychopath. One fateful day, their father’s abuse towards their mother escalates, leading to a tragic event. As a result, Tanner ends up incarcerated, while Johnny is placed in foster care, where he finally experiences a stable and loving environment. Years later, Johnny (played by Scott Waugh) is a college student with promising grades and a bright future, whereas Tanner (portrayed by Sean Graham) is attempting to escape a criminal lifestyle. Tanner reaches out to Johnny, requesting his support at a parole hearing in Hollywood. Johnny agrees, only to realize that the hearing is not in nearby Hollywood, California, but in Hollywood, Florida, on the opposite coast. Despite the mix-up, Johnny is committed to his promise, and the brothers set off in Tanner’s old Lincoln Continental with just 12 dollars, hoping fortune will lead them safely to the East Coast.
